Having grown up my entire life in Granbury Texas, I have seen “small town” life at it’s finest and then grow into an even more nostalgic setting. This was my inspiration when I moved to Kyle in 2013. I saw “the square” on Center Street and Burleson Rd., and I knew that I wanted to belong to this community, to inspire beauty in our town, and to preserve the history that is in Kyle. While binge-watching HGTV one day, I started to think that realty could be a great career. Why? It is a moment. It is a special moment. When an individual, couple or family sees a house that they know will be theirs, there is a look of excitement and wonder on their face. That moment is precisely why I started real estate. The real estate career also allows me to follow my passions and responsibilities. I have the honor of being president of the Kyle chapter of Rotary International. In addition, I get to serve on the local board of the Salvation Army. And, of course, I have to mention that I am an active member of Wayfinders Church, and have the opportunity to serve the church and our guests on a regular basis. Meeting new people, coordinating business for the people I know, and serving my community are all things that I have been able to take part of as I continue this career. I am grateful to have the support of my family as well, and this career allows me some flexibility to enjoy spending time with my boys; my husband Zeb, my oldest son Alex, and my younger son Drew. Yes, there is too much testosterone in the house, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Both of my children are going to be teenagers in less than a year and a half, so prayers are gladly accepted! But seriously, everyone understands that my career is the family business, and so all the boys pitch in on handing out goodie-bags door-to-door, placing signs for my open houses, running errands everywhere, cooking dinner, organizing promotional material and being understanding when I have to work a little late. I couldn’t do it without them. While my career is a tough business, it is a pleasure to help others find a house and then have them as friends. I know each and every one of my current and former home buyers/sellers, and we actually get together for birthday parties and just general fun. I take my career of real estate from a very personal aspect, and that is what I find very satisfying in my life.
